Part‑time HR Manager – Social Care Charity

About the role

Our client, a leading social care charity operating across Tyne & Wear, is looking for a part‑time HR Manager to lead all people‑related processes. The role will be based in Newcastle upon Tyne and will support a workforce of around 350 staff.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain HR best practice and ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
• Manage and mentor two HR Coordinators.
• Collaborate with the IT Lead on the digital HR information system.
• Lead employee engagement, learning & development, health & wellbeing and workplace culture initiatives.
• Oversee absence management, recruitment, and payroll processes.
• Review and update HR policies and procedures.
• Handle employee relations, including performance management, disciplinaries, grievances, investigations and redundancies.
• Produce monthly HR reports for the Directorate.

Required profile

• Level 5 CIPD qualification.
• Experience in, or empathy with, the social‑care sector and its values.
• Broad HR generalist experience.
• In‑depth knowledge of UK employment law.
• Experience using digital HR information systems.
