Part‑Time or Fully Qualified Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time or fully qualified accountant to join Spa Terminus, the landlord of a vibrant community of food and drink producers in Bermondsey. The role is office‑based, permanent and will involve managing the finance function for our property‑management business.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day‑to‑day accounting including invoice creation, credit control, purchase invoice posting, bank reconciliations, payroll and VAT returns.
• Prepare and present quarterly management accounts, cash‑flow forecasts and budgets to the senior team.
• Compile year‑end accounts to trial balance and act as the main liaison for external accountants and tax advisors.
• Maintain and monitor the service‑charge budget.
• Support additional tasks such as annual insurance renewals, ad‑hoc financial analysis and loan‑agreement management.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Estates on tenant and estate matters.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant or part‑qualified accountant with a proactive, self‑starting attitude.
• Ability to work independently while engaging with management, tenants and contractors.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational capability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Sage 200 accounting software.

What we offer

• Salary between £35,000 and £45,000 per year, dependent on qualifications and experience.
• Reporting directly to the Board.
• 5 weeks of annual leave plus public holidays, pro‑rated.
