Part‑Time Science & Maths Teacher – Nurture Provision (0.4 FTE)

About the role
We are looking for a passionate Science & Maths Teacher to join our Nurture Provision in Brighton on a part‑time (0.4 FTE) basis. You will work with KS3 and KS4 students who need a personalised, supportive learning environment to rebuild confidence and re‑engage with education.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated Science and Maths lessons for KS3 & KS4.
- Adapt teaching to meet the needs of students with SEN/SEMH and additional needs.
- Create a safe, nurturing classroom atmosphere.
- Monitor and assess progress, using data to inform planning.
- Implement personalised learning and intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with support staff, pastoral teams and external professionals.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Science and/or Maths at KS3 & KS4 level.
- Understanding of nurture principles, SEMH or alternative provision (desirable).
- Strong behaviour management and relationship‑building skills.
- Flexible, patient and resilient approach.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
