About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Class Teacher for a part‑time, job‑share position at a friendly primary school in Kings Heath, Birmingham. The role runs three days a week, Wednesday to Friday, and involves collaborative planning with a fellow teacher to deliver high‑quality learning.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess Year 2 lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Work closely with a job‑share partner to co‑ordinate shared planning and classroom coverage.
- Create an inclusive, engaging and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.
- Monitor pupil progress and support each child to reach their full potential.
Required profile
- Proven classroom practice with high expectations for every learner.
- Secure understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and value joint planning.
- Commitment to supporting the academic and personal development of all children.
