Passenger Host – Gatwick Airport

About the role

The Passenger Host is a frontline team member at Gatwick Airport, responsible for delivering high‑quality information, safety and security to passengers while protecting revenue for GTR. You will work on a shift basis, covering unsocial and irregular hours, including weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ticket examinations on stations and trains, ensuring passengers hold valid tickets.
• Take appropriate action with individuals without valid tickets, in collaboration with security officers, PCSO’s, REO’s or BTP.
• Provide accurate information and a sense of safety to customers.
• Support revenue protection, customer service and security objectives.

Required profile

• Proactive attitude with a passion for customer service.
• Experience managing customers in challenging environments.
• Strong numerical ability and confidence to make customer‑focused decisions.
• Effective communication skills, demonstrated through application or assessments.
