Patent Paralegal – Cambridge (Hybrid, 1 day office)

About the role

Our client, a leading intellectual property firm in Cambridge, is seeking an experienced Patent Paralegal to join their growing team. This hybrid role requires one day per week in the office and offers exposure to a wide range of patent prosecution tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and progress patent prosecution matters from filing to grant.
• Liaise with clients, fee earners and external counsel to gather information and provide updates.
• Prepare and review patent applications, office actions and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure deadlines are met.
• Support the fee‑earners with comprehensive patent-related research and administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar patent paralegal role.
• Ability to work independently and hit the ground running in a fast‑paced environment.
• Highly organised with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• CIPA qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Patent drafting and filing procedures.
• Knowledge of IP law and patent prosecution processes.
