Payroll Advisor – Client Payroll Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Advisor to join a growing accountancy practice in Blackburn. You will manage a portfolio of client payrolls, providing accurate calculations and responsive support in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process high‑volume client payrolls using relevant payroll software.
• Perform manual and automated tax and deduction calculations.
• Provide comprehensive payroll advice to employees via phone and email.
• Meet multiple deadlines while supporting a busy payroll department.
• Maintain and grow relationships with assigned client accounts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in bureau or client payroll environments.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills for handling employee queries.

Required skills

• Proficiency with payroll software and systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel abilities.
• Knowledge of UK tax regulations and payroll deductions.
