Personal Injury Case Handler

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established law firm in Leeds to recruit an experienced Personal Injury Case Handler. You will manage a full caseload of Road Traffic Accident (RTA) and personal injury claims, guiding each matter from initial instruction through to settlement while maintaining a high level of client service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage both litigated and non‑litigated RTA and personal injury claims.
• Progress Small Claims Track and Fast Track files proactively.
• Liaise with clients, insurers, and third parties throughout the case lifecycle.
• Draft legal documents, witness statements, and court paperwork.
• Issue proceedings when pre‑litigation settlement is not possible.
• Ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedural rules, and internal standards.
• Support senior fee earners and solicitors on complex matters.
• Contribute to business development and marketing initiatives as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling claimant RTA and personal injury files.
• Strong knowledge of OIC and Fast Track processes, MOJ Portal, and Civil Procedure Rules.
• Excellent client care and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and meet deadlines.
• Professional, organised, and detail‑oriented under pressure.

Required skills

• Familiarity with the OIC process and MOJ Portal.
• Understanding of Civil Procedure Rules.
