Personal Injury & Clinical Negligence Solicitor (Leeds)

About the role

We are partnering with a Legal 500‑recognised law firm to hire an experienced solicitor to join its claimant practice in Leeds. The role offers the chance to manage a varied caseload of personal injury and clinical negligence claims, develop specialist litigation skills and progress within a supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a mixed caseload of claimant clinical negligence and personal injury matters from inception through to trial, with minimal supervision.
• Handle cases of differing values and complexities, including multi‑track claims.
• Collaborate with senior colleagues on high‑value, complex litigation.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members and delegate work to paralegals where appropriate.
• Contribute to business development and marketing initiatives, particularly in the Leeds and York regions.
• Achieve agreed billing and performance targets while maintaining excellent client service.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 1‑10 years post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience handling claimant clinical negligence and personal injury matters, including multi‑track litigation.
• Ability to manage a busy caseload independently and meet billing targets.
• Strong communication and client‑care skills.
• Collaborative attitude with an interest in supporting junior colleagues and business development.
