Pharmacist – Band 6/7 progression at Berkshire Independent Hospital

About the role

Join Ramsay Health Care UK as a full‑time Pharmacist at the Berkshire Independent Hospital in Reading. You will be part of the pharmacy team delivering a clinical pharmacy service to inpatient wards and the outpatient department, ensuring medicines are used safely, effectively and economically.

Key responsibilities

• Provide an exemplary pharmacy service in line with legislation, professional standards and clinical requirements.
• Offer advice and support to consultants, clinicians and patients to promote safe, appropriate and cost‑effective use of medicines.
• Advise the hospital and its departments on safe medicine management and compliance with current regulations.
• Promote a multidisciplinary, patient‑focused approach to delivering high‑quality healthcare.

Required profile

• Experience in dispensing and patient counselling.
• Proven ability to supervise and train pharmacy staff.
• Strong multidisciplinary and team‑working skills.
• Degree in Pharmacy and current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Willingness to undertake clinical training and postgraduate qualifications.
• Hospital experience is desirable but not mandatory.
