Pharmacy Colleague – Full‑time role in Lancaster

About the role
Join ASDA's in‑store pharmacy team in Lancaster, working a flexible 36‑hour week with day shifts and required weekend coverage. You will receive an accredited training programme to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant and later a Dispensing Assistant.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately assemble and process customer prescriptions.
- Promote and explain additional pharmacy services such as Prescription Collection and Medicines Use Reviews.
- Support the pharmacist with patient services including blood pressure checks and stop‑smoking schemes.
- Collect prescriptions from doctors' surgeries on behalf of customers.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable advice on personal health issues and direct customers to the right products.
- Follow strict Standard Operating Procedures and maintain accurate records.
Required profile
- Friendly and highly organised with a customer‑focused attitude.
- Good communication skills and the ability to solve problems quickly.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn pharmacy processes.
- Willingness to work weekends and adapt to flexible shift patterns.
