About the role
We are seeking a qualified Photography Teacher to join a network of secondary schools in Southampton. The role involves delivering engaging, practical photography lessons to KS3‑KS4 pupils, often integrating related subjects such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Food Technology, and Engineering.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver inclusive, hands‑on photography sessions for mixed‑ability classes.
- Support students in developing technical and creative skills across related design subjects.
- Contribute positively to the department and wider school community.
- Maintain accurate records and assess student progress.
Required profile
- Qualified Photography Teacher (QTS or equivalent).
- Strong subject knowledge in one or more photography specialisms.
- Passion for inclusive, practical teaching.
- Willingness to engage with the broader school environment.
