Physics Technician

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Physics Technician to join the Science Department at Wymondham College. The post is term‑time (22.5 hours per week) and supports the delivery of high‑quality physics education across our campus. You will work on‑site, maintaining laboratory facilities and ensuring a safe, well‑stocked learning environment for staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and service physics laboratories, preparation rooms and associated equipment.
• Prepare and organise consumables, apparatus and teaching resources for lessons and practical work.
• Carry out routine safety checks and ensure compliance with health‑and‑safety regulations.
• Support science staff by setting up experiments and troubleshooting equipment.
• Keep accurate inventory records and order supplies as needed.
