Plasterer Multi‑Trader – Reactive Maintenance (Hastings)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Plasterer Multi‑Trader to join our reactive maintenance team, delivering high‑quality repairs and improvements across social housing properties in Hastings and surrounding areas. The role involves working in occupied homes, providing a professional service to tenants while maintaining safety and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out plastering repairs, patching, skimming and finishing works.
• Perform general multi‑trade tasks such as basic carpentry, painting, tiling and minor plumbing repairs.
• Attend reactive maintenance jobs, diagnose issues and complete repairs efficiently.
• Maintain respectful communication with residents while working in occupied properties.
• Inspect properties for additional maintenance needs and record all work accurately.
• Use a PDA system to update job details and complete required paperwork.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a plasterer, preferably within social housing or property maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems on site.
• Strong customer‑focused attitude and good communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
