Plumber – Racecourse Facilities (Newcastle & Sedgefield)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and reliable plumber to join our Facilities and Maintenance team, supporting both Newcastle Racecourse and Sedgefield Racecourse. You will carry out a variety of plumbing maintenance, repairs and installations to keep the racecourse infrastructure operating safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across both racecourse sites.
• Diagnose and repair faults in water, drainage, heating and sanitation systems.
• Install, maintain and replace fixtures, fittings and pipework.
• Respond promptly to emergencies to minimise operational disruption.
• Conduct routine inspections of plant rooms, water systems and related equipment.
• Assist with preventative maintenance programmes and keep accurate work records.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support wider maintenance activities as required.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Plumbing.
• NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing.
• Proven experience in commercial or domestic plumbing maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
