Policy & Governance Manager

About the role

Join a leading technology‑communications team as a Policy & Governance Manager. You will shape the governance framework of a newly formed organisation created from the merger of two major UK telecom brands, defining policy standards and strengthening regulatory governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the consolidation of client policies into a unified governance framework.
• Manage the full lifecycle of risk and compliance policies, including drafting, approvals, version control, and annual certification.
• Coordinate governance cycles such as ERCC meetings, handling agenda setting, papers, packs, minutes, and action tracking.
• Oversee regulatory change monitoring, report impacts, and ensure governance structures remain fit for purpose.
• Manage shareholder reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy, senior‑level sign‑off, and timely submission.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to embed strong governance behaviours and provide constructive challenge.
• Produce high‑quality policy documents, briefing papers, and governance reporting for Executive and Board‑level audiences.

Required profile

• Experience in policy, governance, risk, or regulatory roles within regulated industries.
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks, policy management, and regulatory obligations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing senior‑level papers.
• Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and provide constructive challenge.
• Strong analytical capability.

• Day rate of £500 (inside IR35) until 31/10/2026 with potential extension.
