Pre-Assembly Warehouse Operative

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Pre‑Assembly Warehouse Operative to join a well‑established engineering company in the Gloucester/Goodridge area. The role starts as a six‑month contract with the potential to become permanent in 2027. You will work on‑site, Monday to Friday, supporting the pre‑assembly team in a busy engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Locate, pick and prepare the correct components required for the assembly process.
• Pack items safely and accurately for internal use or dispatch.
• Maintain an organised pre‑assembly area, ensuring stock is stored correctly and is easy to locate.
• Follow health and safety procedures and adhere to engineering quality standards.
• Collaborate with the wider engineering and production teams to keep workflow smooth.

Required profile

• Practical, hands‑on attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
• Reliability and attention to detail when handling components.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of warehouse processes such as picking, packing and stock organisation.
