About the role
We are seeking three experienced Press Brake Operators to join a long‑standing sheet‑metal manufacturing business in Sandbach, Cheshire. The role starts with a 12‑week day‑shift training programme before moving to a rotating shift pattern. It offers a permanent contract with competitive pay and a new‑starter incentive.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and operate advanced press brake machines, including Amada, Trumpf, Edward Pearson and Bystronic models.
- Perform bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
- Produce high‑quality components according to technical drawings.
- Conduct quality checks on finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Maintain a safe, organised work environment and perform basic machine maintenance.
- Collaborate with the production team to optimise processes and meet deadlines.
Required profile
- Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and adjust machines.
- Comfortable using hand tools and press‑brake tooling safely.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand tolerances.
- Reliability, safety‑conscious attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

What we offer
- Permanent contract with salary ranging from £29,500 to £37,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
- Overtime paid at time‑and‑a‑half after 39 hours and double time after 48 hours.
- £2,000 new‑starter incentive paid in three installments.
- Training on day shifts (7:30 am – 4:30 pm or 7:30 am – 12:30 pm, 39 hours/week) followed by a rotating 6:2/2:10 shift pattern (38 hours/week).
- Opportunity to work with state‑of‑the‑art CNC equipment, robotic welding systems and a powder‑coating facility.
