Pricing Analyst

About the role

Travis Perkins is looking for a commercially focused, data-savvy Pricing Analyst to join its Pricing Team in Northampton. The role sits at the heart of decision-making for the General Merchanting division, developing and implementing its pricing strategy through accurate, meaningful insights. No prior pricing experience is required.

Key responsibilities

• Develop accurate, consistent and meaningful reporting for the team and wider business
• Analyse price change performance and recommend future strategy
• Manage all data requirements for price reporting, including competitor matches, TP sales and pricing data
• Own the Cost Price Increase process, collating data and producing clear communications
• Plan and manage small-scale projects supporting business initiatives or investigating performance variances

Required profile

• Inquisitive, with an affinity for data and attention to detail
• Able to turn complex data sets into simple, actionable presentations
• Commercially minded, able to work collaboratively with stakeholders across teams
• SQL experience required; Java scripting and Python are advantageous but not essential
• Experience in a commercial/pricing environment is preferable but not essential
