Primary Early Career Teacher – Flexible Roles

About the role
We are seeking Primary Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to deliver pre‑planned lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 in schools around Chester. The role offers flexible, short‑term or longer‑term placements, allowing you to gain classroom experience while focusing on teaching rather than planning and marking.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, pre‑planned lessons for EYFS, KS1 or KS2.
- Create a warm, positive, structured learning environment.
- Apply positive behaviour management aligned with school ethos.
- Provide clear handovers for the permanent class teacher at the end of each day.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognised UK primary teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd).
- Experience or training in primary age groups (EYFS, KS1, KS2).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Passion for primary education and adaptable approach.
Required skills
- Lesson delivery using pre‑planned materials.
- Positive behaviour management techniques.
