Primary School Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Dover. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start, supporting pupils from Early Years to Year 6 in a positive and inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities across all primary year groups.
• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for pupils who need additional help.
• Help create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
• Support pupils’ social, emotional and academic development.
• Prepare and organise classroom resources and learning materials.
• Supervise pupils during break times, educational activities and school events as required.

Required profile

• Positive, patient and adaptable approach to supporting young learners.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Previous experience in an educational, childcare or similar setting is desirable.
• Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant are advantageous but not essential.

• Basic IT literacy for preparing digital resources.
