Primary Teacher – Part‑time Temporary

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Primary Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Bristol on a part‑time, temporary basis from September. The successful candidate will create a calm, consistent classroom environment where pupils can develop confidence and core skills across the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in English, mathematics and other subjects.
• Prepare pupils for statutory assessments and monitor progress.
• Maintain high expectations for achievement and behaviour through clear routines.
• Assess and record pupil performance, providing feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with the leadership team and colleagues to support the school’s inclusive ethos.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching in a primary classroom.
• Confidence delivering core subjects and supporting assessment preparation.
• Ability to establish clear routines and maintain high standards of learning and behaviour.
• Commitment to helping every child reach their full potential.
