Primary Teaching Assistant (KS2)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 2 pupils in a vibrant school in Leeds. The role focuses on delivering personalised support, especially for children with Special Educational Needs, and works closely with teachers to enhance the learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to implement and adapt learning plans.
• Develop pupils’ social and emotional skills to foster independence.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular reports to teachers and parents.
• Provide targeted assistance to students with a range of SEN requirements.

Required profile

• Patient and adaptable approach to challenging situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Diploma (desirable).
• Enhanced DBS check (desirable).
