About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher to lead a Year 1 class in a welcoming primary school near Harlow. The role starts in September 2026 and offers a supportive environment for a teacher at the beginning of their career.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that meet the KS1 curriculum.
- Support pupils transitioning from EYFS to Key Stage 1.
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
Required profile
- Holds (or will obtain) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by September 2026.
- Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and early reading/phonics.
- Enthusiastic, reflective and committed to professional development.
- Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and behaviour management.
- High expectations for all pupils and a commitment to safeguarding.
