Principal Software Engineer - Data and AI - Accelerator Business

About the role

As a Principal Software Engineer in the Data and AI Accelerator Business, you will lead the creation of cutting‑edge Generative AI platforms that bring smart solutions directly to JPMorgan Chase customers. You will work in collaborative squads, applying a commercial fintech mindset to design, build and scale AI‑driven products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, self‑service solutions for documentation, SDKs, configurations and pipelines that enable rapid deployment of Generative AI applications, including Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and autonomous agents with planning, memory and workflow orchestration.
• Implement tools and frameworks for model versioning, experiment tracking and lifecycle management.
• Build monitoring systems to track model performance, detect data and model drift and trigger corrective actions.
• Define and promote best practices for model integration, deployment patterns and output validation to minimise hallucinations.
• Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies covering unit, component, integration, end‑to‑end, performance and champion‑challenger tests.
• Ensure platform compliance with data‑privacy, security and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor team members on platform design principles, coding standards and maintainable architecture.
