Private Client Tax Senior Manager

About the role

This senior private client tax position offers depth, autonomy and engaging advisory work within a well‑established accountancy practice. Based in Royal Tunbridge Wells, you will serve high‑net‑worth individuals, families and trustees, delivering comprehensive tax compliance and planning services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private clients, trusts and estates, overseeing tax compliance and advisory work.
• Review and supervise trust accounts, trust and personal tax returns, R185 and Inheritance Tax (IHT) filings.
• Prepare and review estate tax returns and related advisory projects.
• Support partners and directors with ad‑hoc planning across trusts and estates.
• Explain complex tax issues to clients in clear, practical language.
• Act as senior technical reference for team queries and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Strong experience in private client tax, trusts and estates.
• CTA, ACA or TEP qualification (or equivalent).
• Currently a senior manager or a manager ready to step up.
• Confident communicator with a client‑focused mindset.
• Comfortable balancing advisory work with high‑quality compliance.
• Background in professional accountancy practice.
