Probate Solicitor – Hybrid (UK offices)

About the role

We are expanding our specialist probate team at Co‑op Legal Services and are looking for qualified solicitors or legal executives to manage a varied caseload of probate matters. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and operates on a hybrid model, allowing you to work from home and from any of our offices in Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol or Stratford‑upon‑Avon.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of probate cases of varying complexity from start to finish, using our case‑management system and AI‑enabled tools.
• Record case information accurately and keep the system up‑to‑date.
• Engage with clients primarily by telephone and email, providing a client‑focused service.
• Collaborate with senior team members and receive administrative support to develop your legal expertise.
• Mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or legal executive (CILEX or STEP) with experience in probate law, or equivalent private‑practice experience.
• Proactive, able to prioritise and organise work in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Client‑focused attitude with the ability to build positive relationships remotely.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a case‑management system.
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled legal technology tools.
