Procurement Director – Renewable Energy

About the role

The Procurement Director will shape and execute the company’s procurement and supply‑chain strategy to support renewable energy projects and long‑term growth. Reporting to the Board, you will ensure procurement activities meet the highest standards of governance, competitiveness, ethics and value creation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project delivery, operational goals and business expansion.
• Identify, evaluate and select strategic suppliers for major equipment, materials and construction services, ensuring quality and commercial competitiveness.
• Lead negotiations and manage contracts with suppliers, EPC contractors and service providers to secure favourable terms and maximise value.
• Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships, driving performance through governance, audits, risk assessments and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Monitor market developments, supply‑chain dynamics and emerging risks, applying mitigation strategies to protect project delivery.
• Provide regular assurance and reporting to the Board and executive team on procurement performance, risk management, governance and value delivery.
• Lead, develop and inspire a high‑performing procurement function, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

Required profile

• More than 15 years of progressive procurement experience, preferably in renewable energy, power generation, utilities or other large‑scale capital‑intensive industries.
• Proven success in strategic sourcing and category management for equipment such as solar modules, wind turbines, battery storage systems, electrical infrastructure and EPC services.
• Strong commercial acumen and contract‑negotiation expertise with a track record of delivering measurable cost savings.
• Extensive experience managing supplier and stakeholder relationships and building strategic partnerships with global suppliers and contractors.
