Product Owner - Personal Loans Risk Decisioning & Eligibility

About the role

Barclays is looking for a Product Owner for its Personal Loans Risk Decisioning and Eligibility area, within Product Development and Management. The role leads the Enhanced Risk Assessment platform, managing day-to-day operations while overseeing migration to a new technology platform. It sits in the Unsecured Lending business area and can be based in London, Manchester or Northampton.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop existing and new products and services, own customer and colleague journeys, and drive change through Barclays execution teams
• Develop customer-level strategies and solutions tailored to customer needs, and act as subject matter expert advising stakeholders on products and journeys
• Define product propositions and service strategies, and lead their delivery
• Build commercial and business models with a strong understanding of the financial drivers of the P&L
• Evaluate technical feasibility, legal compliance and potential risks of new products
• Monitor market trends and gather feedback from employees and customers via prototypes, user testing and beta programmes
• Manage launch plans, technical deployments, marketing, training and communication
• Track metrics such as adoption, usage, customer satisfaction and revenue

Required profile

• Good technology delivery background and experience in agile environments
• Ability to drive complex change and balance technology, risk and operational priorities
• People leadership capability, as the role includes management responsibilities
• Experience of lending products

• Risk and control management knowledge

The role is permanent. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK; the role may be subject to enhanced governance and additional regulatory and compliance obligations. Working arrangements are hybrid, with fixed anchor days at an onsite location, and flexible working can be discussed with the hiring manager.
