Programme Finance Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Programme Finance Manager to join MAG in Manchester. Reporting to the Head of Programme Finance, you will partner with regional and country programmes, strategic partnerships and other stakeholders to deliver high‑quality financial information and support across multi‑regional and multi‑country activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide financial business partnering for regional and country programmes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Support the preparation and monitoring of multi‑currency budgets, forecasts and business plans.
• Ensure contracts deliver value for money and comply with donor and statutory requirements.
• Analyse financial data, identify risks and propose actionable solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve financial processes and reporting tools.

Required profile

• Significant experience in finance within commercial or NGO environments, handling complex, multi‑currency scenarios.
• Strong analytical and evaluation skills with a risk‑aware mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage diverse stakeholders clearly and constructively.
• Willingness to travel to remote or insecure locations on short notice.

Required skills

• Proficiency with mid‑range accounting systems such as PS Financials, Sage or SUN.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and database reporting tools.
