Project Engineer – Aerospace Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join a leading aerospace engineering firm. The role involves delivering high‑performance aerospace systems from concept through to completion, working with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake design work following Lead Engineer specifications, including hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Create 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks, DDM and PDM.
• Produce reports and documentation for designs.
• Conduct regular project and programme reviews, updating stakeholders and customers.
• Supervise prototype manufacturing and physical testing.
• Maintain accurate records of project hours.
• Participate in initial design, estimating and review of assigned projects.
• Contribute to KPI production and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Minimum HNC/HND, preferably a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least two years’ experience in an engineering environment.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the UK and abroad.
