Project Manager – Infrastructure Projects (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Project Manager to join the Devonport Infrastructure Directorate, delivering Ministry of Defence‑funded infrastructure and construction projects across the Devonport site. The role offers a hybrid working model and the chance to manage projects worth up to £4 million from inception to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for construction and infrastructure works, ensuring delivery within budget, schedule and quality standards.
• Oversee planning, programming, finance, risk, control, monitoring and Health & Safety throughout each project.
• Collaborate with technical, commercial, procurement, scheduling and H&S teams to meet governance requirements.
• Lead and mentor assistant project staff where required.
• Produce clear scopes of work for straightforward projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing building, construction or related industry projects.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and APM project management principles.
• Strong organisational abilities and self‑management skills.
• Effective communication with senior management and diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) clearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
