Project Manager – Water & Wastewater Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead design‑and‑build water and wastewater projects for Southern Water across Kent, Sussex and Hampshire. The role offers flexible remote working with occasional visits to the office and the chance to make a tangible impact on essential infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead projects from conception through handover while maintaining the highest health and safety standards.
• Build and nurture relationships with clients, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
• Manage site teams and coordinate multiple subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Take P&L responsibility for the project portfolio, delivering and enhancing margins.
• Plan and monitor projects, ensuring all compliance documentation is completed accurately and promptly.

Required profile

• Relevant degree (or equivalent) with experience in regulated utilities, infrastructure or the built environment.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and a proven ability to exceed client expectations.
• Excellent NEC3/NEC4 contractual and commercial awareness.
• Collaborative behaviour with the ability to lead project delivery by example.
• Valid driving licence.
