About the role
The School of Coding & AI is expanding its Higher Education offering and seeks a passionate Public Health Lecturer to shape the delivery of public health education. You will join at a pivotal growth stage, helping learners develop critical thinking and professional skills in public health.
Key responsibilities
- Teach Public Health modules to higher‑education students.
- Plan and deliver inclusive sessions covering health promotion, epidemiology, health inequalities, population health and policy.
- Design, review and update learning materials and assessments in line with curriculum and awarding‑body standards.
- Support learners in applying theory to real‑world health challenges and community settings.
- Set, mark and moderate assignments, providing constructive feedback.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to help students stay on track.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
- Contribute to quality‑assurance activities, course reviews and curriculum updates.
Required profile
- Minimum 1 year teaching experience in Higher Education, Further Education or relevant industry experience.
- Degree or equivalent in Public Health, Health Sciences, Health Promotion, Epidemiology or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in a relevant health‑related subject.
- Strong knowledge of public health principles, population health, health inequalities and health promotion.
- Commitment to high‑quality public health education and ability to work with diverse learners.
