Public Relations Manager – Automotive Sector

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Public Relations Manager to lead PR activities for a leading automotive organisation in the UK. The role will focus on building media relationships, supporting brand growth, and delivering integrated communication strategies across product, corporate and marketing channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute long‑term PR strategies covering product communication, corporate PR, MarCom and cross‑functional initiatives.
• Provide market insights and recommendations to headquarters while aligning local PR solutions with global objectives.
• Collaborate with marketing, social media, KOL, product, network and after‑sales teams on integrated campaigns.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media outlets and industry stakeholders.
• Draft and manage brand, corporate and product press releases, working with external agencies as needed.
• Support crisis communications, including response planning and issue management.
• Organise PR events, media activities and company conferences, delivering post‑event analysis and market feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Automotive Engineering, Economics, Business Management or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in PR, communications, media relations, OEMs or communication agencies, preferably within the automotive sector.
• Proven ability to build and maintain media relationships and manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong coordination, planning and execution capabilities.
• Understanding of Chinese companies and brands is advantageous.
