Qualified Secondary Teacher – Flexible Supply & Long-Term Opportunities

About the role

Vida Education is seeking qualified secondary teachers to work on a supply basis across a variety of schools in Lancaster and the surrounding area. The role offers flexible day‑to‑day assignments as well as short‑term and long‑term placements, with the potential to progress to permanent positions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality teaching across a range of secondary subjects in schools located in Lancaster and surrounding areas.
• Deliver lesson plans, assess student progress and adapt instruction to meet individual needs.
• Maintain classroom discipline and uphold safeguarding policies.
• Collaborate with school staff and contribute to school‑wide initiatives during short‑term or long‑term placements.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (QTLS).
• Experience teaching in UK secondary schools, including strong classroom management.
• Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Passion for supporting young people’s learning and development.

Required skills

• Subject‑specific expertise in one or more of the following: English, Mathematics, Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), Humanities (History, Geography, RE), Modern Foreign Languages (French, Spanish, German), Design & Technology, Computing/ICT, Physical Education, Music, Art.
