Quality Assurance Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our food manufacturing quality programme in Cambridgeshire. You will ensure product standards are met, drive continuous improvement and support a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the Quality Management System to guarantee compliance with product quality standards.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of 20 quality professionals, ensuring they are trained on relevant systems.
• Manage the quality‑related budget and influence overall factory budgeting decisions.
• Introduce and monitor quality and food‑safety programmes in partnership with other departments.
• Document and resolve customer complaints, implementing timely corrective actions.
• Plan and deliver capital improvement (CapEx) projects within budget, timelines and organisational objectives.

Required profile

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or a related discipline.
• Proven QA experience in a food manufacturing environment, including auditing and managing quality systems.
• Experience launching new products and applying continuous‑improvement tools.
• Strong knowledge of microbiological testing, food technology and hygiene practices.
• Demonstrated leadership and line‑management capabilities.
