About the role
This Level 3 apprenticeship offers hands‑on experience as a Chemical Manufacturing Technician in a fully‑equipped chemical production facility. You will work alongside experienced engineers and chemists, learning to operate and maintain large‑scale chemical processes while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out manufacturing activities such as adding materials to vessels, transferring product, monitoring mills and cleaning equipment.
- Support set‑up and operation of manufacturing equipment under supervision.
- Perform in‑process quality checks using barcode scanners, PLC tablets and record results.
- Ensure formulations meet GMP specifications and accurately record material weights.
- Monitor equipment performance, report issues and follow health, safety and environmental procedures (COSHH, COMAH, PPE).
- Maintain high housekeeping standards and work safely in confined spaces when required.
Required profile
- 18 years or older, not in full‑time education, with the right to work in the UK.
- Comfortable working with machinery, following strict procedures and handling physical tasks.
- Reliable, detail‑oriented and able to work shifts in a fast‑moving industrial environment.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn through hands‑on experience.
