About the role

This Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship with Safapac offers a solid foundation for a career in laboratory science. You will support day‑to‑day lab operations, gain hands‑on experience with chemical manufacturing processes, and develop technical expertise in a professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, sample and analyse veterinary materials according to approved specifications and protocols.
• Accurately document test results and maintain laboratory records.
• Use the company ERP system to quarantine or release materials.
• Support development and improvement of analytical methods and troubleshoot testing issues.
• Maintain cross‑contamination controls and ensure laboratory safety procedures are followed.
• Keep the laboratory clean, organised and stocked, anticipating equipment and material needs.

Required profile

• Curious about how things work and attentive to detail.
• Comfortable following structured processes and recording work accurately.
• Patient, focused and able to perform precise, repetitive tasks.
• Willing to take ownership of learning, accept feedback and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Must be 18+ and meet UK apprenticeship eligibility criteria.
