Quality Assurance Officer – Aseptic & Radiopharmacy

About the role

The Royal United Hospitals Bath is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join its Pharmacy Aseptic Unit and Radiopharmacy Services. You will play a key part in safeguarding patient safety by ensuring that aseptic and radiopharmaceutical products meet the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of the Pharmacy Quality Management System (QMS).
• Perform QA checks on batch documentation and environmental monitoring data.
• Assist with deviation, incident and non‑conformance investigations.
• Contribute to internal audits and preparation for external inspections such as MHRA.
• Maintain training records, SOP registers and QA documentation.
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and compliant service delivery.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented with a strong commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to work collaboratively with pharmacy, clinical and quality teams.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Required skills

• Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) knowledge.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Familiarity with MHRA regulatory requirements.
