Quality Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established food manufacturing business in Bristol to recruit an experienced Quality Manager. This role offers the chance to drive a strong quality culture, support continuous improvement and ensure operational excellence across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and develop the site’s Quality Management System (QMS).
• Lead food safety, quality and compliance activities.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and audit readiness.
• Manage internal and external audits and maintain compliance with recognised industry standards.
• Oversee HACCP systems and support food safety initiatives.
• Investigate non‑conformances, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain customer specifications and quality documentation.
• Coordinate product testing, environmental monitoring and shelf‑life programmes.
• Produce KPI reports and quality performance data.
• Collaborate with Production and Operations to improve quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Quality or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and recognised food safety standards.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis abilities.
• Organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
