Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Operations (London)

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑focused Quantity Surveyor to join our Westminster Planned team. You will manage the day‑to‑day commercial control of maintenance, repair and refurbishment contracts, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and in line with contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain CVRs, forecasts, cash‑flow forecasts and commercial reports for assigned contracts.
• Manage applications, valuations, invoicing and cash collection activities.
• Oversee subcontractor accounts, payments and contractual compliance.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial risks, including variations, extensions of time and loss & expense claims.
• Support procurement to secure best value and maximise buying gains.
• Provide line‑management and development support to members of the commercial team.

Required profile

• Qualified Quantity Surveyor with NVQ Level 6 in Quantity Surveying.
• Proven experience in the social housing sector, particularly on repairs & maintenance contracts.
• Strong track record of managing CVRs, forecasts and final accounts.
• Experience with planned works programmes; knowledge of fire‑risk‑assessment works and kitchen & bathroom refurbishments is advantageous.
