Quantity Surveyor – Commercial Team (Falmer/Chatham)

About the role

We are seeking Quantity Surveyors to join our Southern Water team operating from Falmer and Chatham. The role offers a hybrid working model with three days on‑site and the flexibility of full‑time, condensed, part‑time or job‑share arrangements. You will play a vital part in a £3.1bn Strategic Development Partnership, contributing to water infrastructure projects while developing your career in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Managing project finances, including preparing applications for payment and monitoring project costs.
• Building relationships with subcontractors and clients to ensure smooth financial processes.
• Supporting procurement activities and providing commercial evaluations.
• Identifying changes and supporting the Change Control procedures.
• Ensuring all contractual notifications are correctly in place.

Required profile

• Experience with NEC contracts with Target Costs.
• Enjoy collaborative working and building relationships across teams.
• Background in construction, water or civil infrastructure sectors.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication skills and client interaction.
