Real Estate Finance Solicitor (2+ PQE)

About the role

A leading firm in the North East is expanding its Real Estate Finance team and is looking for a solicitor with at least two years post‑qualification experience. You will work on high‑value, complex finance transactions for institutional lenders, developers and investors, providing both lender‑side and borrower‑side advice.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate property and development finance agreements for institutional lenders.
• Advise borrowers on secured lending arrangements and related documentation.
• Handle acquisitions, disposals and broader commercial property transactions.
• Provide landlord and tenant advice where required.
• Conduct due diligence, title investigations and liaise with lenders, agents and other advisers.
• Manage transactions efficiently, meeting tight deadlines while maintaining high‑quality technical advice.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years PQE in real estate finance or commercial property.
• Experience acting for institutional lenders and/or borrowers on finance deals.
• Familiarity with commercial acquisitions, disposals and landlord‑tenant matters.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of real estate finance.
• Understanding of lender‑side risk and requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and clear communication.
