Real Estate Portfolio & Leasing Associate – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

This 6‑month fixed‑term position supports a dynamic private‑equity real‑estate investor in managing a diverse retail portfolio across the UK and Europe. Working closely with the Group Property Director, you will help shape and execute leasing and portfolio strategies for a large estate of freehold and leasehold assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement leasing strategies for retail assets.
• Analyse portfolio performance, lease events and occupancy costs to identify risks and opportunities.
• Monitor rent rolls, lease expiries, break options, vacancy rates and over‑rented properties.
• Identify and execute freehold value enhancements and lease‑hold liability reductions through restructurings, renewals, surrenders and managed exits.
• Lead or support lease negotiations, including renewals, rent reviews, re‑gears and new lettings.
• Manage external agents, professional advisers and collaborate with operational teams.
• Produce portfolio reporting, dashboards and strategic recommendations.
• Maintain accurate property and lease records and assist with acquisition due diligence.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of experience in commercial property, asset management or property management.
• Understanding of commercial leasing and lease events; retail property experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and financial abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• MRICS qualification is desirable.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel reporting.
