Receptionist / Care Navigator

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and dynamic Receptionist / Care Navigator to join our busy team at Merchiston Surgery. You will provide outstanding service to our 14,000 patients, ensuring each interaction is personalised and supportive.

Key responsibilities

• Signpost patients to the appropriate clinician or service and book appointments in line with local protocols.
• Handle face‑to‑face and telephone enquiries from patients, carers, and external healthcare providers.
• Complete all associated administration accurately and promptly.
• Maintain high standards of communication, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Process complaints, comments, and suggestions according to practice policies.
• Adapt workload flexibly and seek senior support when required.
