Recruitment Consultant – Food & FMCG (Edinburgh)

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Recruitment Consultant to lead our Food & FMCG desk in Edinburgh. You will work with manufacturers, food producers, FMCG brands and supply‑chain organisations across Scotland and the wider UK, building a profitable portfolio of clients and candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow a specialist Food & FMCG recruitment desk.
• Develop new business, win new clients and expand existing accounts.
• Build long‑term relationships with hiring managers and senior stakeholders.
• Source, interview and place high‑calibre candidates across the recruitment lifecycle.
• Negotiate fees, offers and terms of business.
• Provide market insight and consultancy to both clients and candidates.
• Consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a recruitment consultant or in a business‑development/sales role.
• Strong relationship‑building and networking abilities.
• Commercially minded, target‑driven and able to work autonomously.
• Experience in any sector is acceptable, with a willingness to specialise in Food & FMCG.

Required skills

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage the full recruitment lifecycle.
