About the role

Oliver James is seeking a driven Recruitment Consultant to join its Manchester head‑office in Spinningfields. You will own a market segment, build a client portfolio and place top‑tier talent across permanent and contract roles.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a client portfolio in a high‑demand sector.
  • Source, engage and place candidates for both permanent and contract positions.
  • Become a subject‑matter expert with deep market knowledge.
  • Choose to focus on either contract or permanent (perm) desk work.

Required profile

  • Minimum 12 months experience in recruitment.
  • Proven ability to generate billing or strong pipelines.
  • Commercially aware, resilient and target‑driven.
  • Confident communicator thriving in a fast‑paced environment.
