Employment Contracts Specialist – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an Employment Contracts Specialist to provide a 12‑month fixed‑term maternity cover in Manchester, supporting the EMEA region. The role will manage the full lifecycle of employment contracts for permanent and contingent staff, ensuring compliance with local labour laws and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end global employment contract process for permanent and contingent employees across the EMEA region.
• Oversee contract review and signature workflow, including use of e‑signature platforms.
• Collaborate with legal, HR, hiring managers and business units to ensure contracts comply with local, state and federal labour laws.
• Maintain accurate records of all employment contracts and related documentation.
• Monitor and report on contract‑related metrics and trends.
• Stay up‑to‑date with changes in employment law and update contract language accordingly.
• Assist in developing and updating global contracting policies and procedures.
• Work with the HRIS team to integrate contract data into Workday.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Experience in a global professional services or consulting environment (preferred).
• Fluency in multiple European languages, especially French and Spanish, is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Workday HRIS.
• Experience using e‑signature and document management systems.
