Refuse Collector/Loader – Full‑time Temp-to-Perm

About the role

Responsive Personnel is seeking energetic Refuse Collectors/Loaders to join our team in Cheltenham. You will work outdoors, handling waste collection for residential customers while representing the company with a professional and courteous attitude. The position offers a competitive hourly rate and the possibility to move from temporary to permanent employment.

Key responsibilities

• Collect refuse from customers' homes according to scheduled routes.
• Load and secure waste into collection vehicles safely.
• Wear and maintain provided safety clothing and equipment.
• Operate collection tools and machinery in compliance with health and safety guidelines.
• Interact politely with residents, answering basic queries and providing a positive service experience.
• Keep collection equipment clean and report any issues promptly.
• Record collection details accurately for reporting purposes.

Required profile

• Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Team‑oriented with the ability to work independently when required.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Good communication skills and a courteous manner when dealing with customers.
